The 2016 edition of CPJ’s annual publication, Attacks on the Press, looks at the intersection of press freedom and gender. The book, to launch on April 27, is a collection of analytical reports by CPJ staff, freelance journalists, and other experts on topics including digital harassment, discrimination, restricted access to newsmakers, imprisonment, and physical and sexual attacks. It offers guidance for dealing with such threats and restrictions, as well as inspiring stories about overcoming them.
